About the role
Do you want to use your fundraising skills to help support people with their mental health? Do you want to tell our story to help raise much needed funds to support our work? If so, this could be a great role for you.
You will join us at an exciting time ahead of launching our new three-year strategy, which puts growing our non-statutory income at its centre. This new role recognises the importance of this work and its impact on our cause.
The role is to lead fundraising and tender activities for Solent Mind. This includes creating an annual plan, managing relationships with funders, engaging with donors and supporters, and reporting progress to the board and senior management team. The successful candidate will also need to manage a staff and volunteer team, ensure the administration of donations, and work within legal fundraising and tender regulations.
This role is within Solent Mind’s fundraising and external engagement team, supported by a team of five fundraisers. It is an exciting and dynamic place to work with opportunities to contribute to wider projects and develop your skills.
About you
You should have a proven track record in surpassing fundraising targets, managing and leading teams, and building relationships with stakeholders. You should also possess financial acumen, be a qualified Mental Health First Aider or commit to obtaining certification during the probation period, and have knowledge of multi-channel fundraising, creativity in developing new projects, and a deep understanding of mental health issues. You will have strong problem-solving skills, be able to motivate colleagues and partners, and possess excellent IT and digital skills.

You will join us at an exciting time ahead of launching our new three-year strategy, which puts the essential role of volunteering for Solent Mind at its centre. This new role recognises the importance of this work and its impact on our cause.
The role will lead and join up our approach to the recruitment, retention, and training of volunteers and student placements. Our volunteers include skilled professionals, local businesses, social work students, people who accessed our services previously and many others. You will work closely with service managers and local volunteer coordinators within the services. Your aim will be to increase the number of volunteers and student placements at Solent Mind and provide opportunities for them to contribute to the organisation. Additionally, you will ensure that volunteers and placement students have a meaningful experience while supporting with Solent Mind.
This role is within Solent Mind’s fundraising and external engagement team but will work closely with our teams in the wellbeing centres. It is an exciting and dynamic place to work with opportunities to contribute to wider projects and develop your skills.
About you
You will need a background in volunteer management, demonstrating expertise through previous roles. Your experience should include engagement or understanding of individuals dealing with mental health needs. Showcasing your expertise in recruiting, retaining, and training volunteers while working closely with colleagues as across the organisation on shared objectives. Strong organisational skills, including effective time management and the ability to handle competing priorities, are important.

About the role
Do you want to make a difference to people experiencing poor mental health? Sitting in our Fundraising and External Engagement Team, this role will work against agreed proactivity and income targets to raise income for Solent Mind’s services from companies across Hampshire, Southampton, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.
About you
As a Corporate Fundraiser you are the face of Solent Mind – out in the community building strong relationships with businesses across our area. You’ll deliver corporate fundraising initiatives and events, support our partners, and work with other internal departments to identify funding opportunities. A natural problem solver with a can do attitude and persuasive presentation skills. You’ll be commercially aware and ensure we build mutually beneficial relationships. Ideally you’ll have knowledge of corporate partnerships, an understanding of the charity sector and the fundraising regulator requirements. You’ll work in a small team supported by our lead corporate fundraiser and a fundraising assistant with additional marketing support from our comms team.
Due to the nature of the role the ability and confidence to drive and access to a car is essential. You may be working across the Hampshire area.

About the role
This is an opportunity to join a modern Finance Team and to develop your Finance career using our Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Finance System and iTrent HR and Payroll system. In this role you will play an active role in supporting the monthly payroll process. You will also gain experience of Accounts Payable and Receivables functions. The Finance Team are all learning how to use Power BI for management information and this is part of our team work approach.
About you
You will need strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. You will need to be able to learn to use our Finance and Payroll systems as well as have a strong base knowledge of spreadsheets and Office software tools. You will be able to bring your financial and work experiences and be able to learn new skills. Your communication skills will help you to build a positive network with staff in HR and across Solent Mind.

About the role
In partnership with Southern Health Foundation Trust, Solent Mind has an established Peer Support Team throughout Southampton’s Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), Primary Care Networks (PCN’s) & Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Services. We are looking to recruit a Peer Support Worker with lived experience of Gambling Disorder for the newly formed Southern Gambling Service based at College Keep in Southampton. This is exciting new role will be mainly based online, however you will be working within a multidisciplinary team and reporting to an established Senior Peer Worker working within Southampton.
About you
As a Peer Support Worker it is essential you have lived experience of the mental health difficulties associated with gambling disorder and understand the key concepts of recovery. Working as a part of the Peer Support Team within Southampton you will need to have the confidence and skills to work with NHS staff at all levels and to work with service users with a range of ages and needs. The ability to travel is essential for this role as although you will mainly be based at home you will be required to travel into Southampton on a regular basis to attend team meetings and one to one reviews.
