From the Chair of Trustees

Partnership and collaboration is at the The Board of Trustees has focussed this year on streamlining
heart of what Solent Mind does – both in the governance of Solent Mind. We are grateful for the hard
ensuring that service users can help shape work of Richard Barritt, the Senior Managers and all staff
and develop our services and in working and volunteers across the organisation. We look forward to
with other organisations who share our developing even stronger links with our service users and to
aims. continuing and extending our services for those with mental
health difficulties.
We can look back on a very successful
year given the many pressures on voluntary Ros Cassy
organisations across the country. Despite the cuts faced by Chair of Trustees
public services and many of our funders we are sustaining
ourselves as a strong and capable organisation. Our partnership
with Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is built on firm
foundations and we were delighted to retain the contract for
italk our joint Increasing Access to Talking Therapies
programme. Our approach complements that of the NHS and
we look forward to further collaborations in the coming years.
We also work with other local Mind Associations and with
other organisations in the wider voluntary sector. The three
Wellbeing services we run are providing a wide range of
support and activities and our new Carers Project in
Hampshire is developing well.
