Fabiola's Blog

Our local Time to Change Champions are leading the fight against mental health stigma. Read Fabiola's story below.

This Mental Health Awareness Week our local Time to Change Champions have been sharing their stories of how they lead the fight against mental health stigma through kindness. Read below how Fabiola has used kindness to help other people with her blog called ‘Mental Health: Sun will shine again’:

“During my 5 years being a mental health advocate I’ve seen many of the people I know struggle with their mental health, I always try to use the supportive techniques I’ve learnt and talk to them. I’m often asked for tips for different things about different mental health problems. My motto is always ‘the sun still shines on a cloudy day!’ Sometimes I use tough love and other times I use soothing love depending on the person and what the situation is. I give my best when supporting others and I always try to make sure everyone is okay.

Positivity comes from deep within, you can’t pour from an empty cup! You can all achieve amazing things if you set your mind to it! You all have the power to be the best you possible. Stay strong beautiful warriors, the sun will shine again!”
