Mental Health at Work Commitment

By signing the Mental Health at Work Commitment, we're working to achieve better outcomes for the mental health of Solent Mind colleagues.

We've signed the Mental Health at Work Commitment - a pledge to support better mental health for our staff and volunteers. 

The Mental Health at Work Commitment has 6 clear standards that outline best practice to create an environment where employees can thrive. These are:

  1. Prioritise mental health in the workplace by developing and delivering a systematic programme of activity.
  2. Proactively ensure work design and organisational culture drive positive mental health outcomes.
  3. Promote an open culture around mental health.
  4. Increase organisational confidence and capability.
  5. Provide mental health tools and support.
  6. Increase transparency and accountability through internal and external reporting.

Each standard has a set of actions that help you achieve the commitment.

Why did we make the Commitment?

Mental health at work is a priority for us. In addition to providing Workplace Wellbeing Training to help businesses and their employees thrive, we also want to make sure our Solent Mind staff are supported with their mental health and wellbeing.

By signing the Commitment, we're pledging to put the 6 standards into practice, making sure that everyone can bring their full self to work and feels supported with their mental health. It's also a part of our strategy to develop, support and inspire our staff and volunteers to thrive and deliver the goals of our organisation.
