Course overview

This class examines the nature of the link between substance use and mental health. The session can help you to recognise when substance use becomes unhelpful and suggests possible treatments and support available.

Learning Objectives

All students will be able to:

  • Identify the variety of substances currently available.
  • List the effects of substances on mental health.

Most students will be able to:

  • Identify services available for you to use to support your recovery.

Some students will be able to:

  • Recognise the signs of when substance use becomes unhelpful.
