Build the confidence to support student's mental health as they cope with studying away from home.

3.5 hours: remote or face to face

Overview

This interactive workshop covers the signs, symptoms and triggers of mental ill health, as well as how lecturers, college or university staff can support students whilst maintaining their own mental wellbeing.

Learning outcomes:

•To discuss our understanding of mental health
•An overview of some of the more common mental health problems particularly in relation to students
•What are the potential triggers or causes?
•Early warning signs
•Helping students with practical support
•How to help yourself and your own wellbeing
•To signpost to resources within your organisation and/or local services and national resources or help
