Thrive 25!

Helping our communities across Hampshire to live well and thrive in 2025...

Supporting our communities

Mental health affects everyone, everywhere.

We’re all unique and our lives are too, but mental health is a fundamental part of all of us and practising self-care can prevent problems from developing and help us thrive.

We're your local Mind mental health charity and we offer mental health and wellbeing support services across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Through peer support, groups and courses at our wellbeing centres, working with local businesses or partnering on community projects and initiatives, we're giving people across our Hampshire communities the tools, tips and support they need to thrive in 2025 and beyond.

Our volunteers

We recognise the time and dedication that our volunteers put into their work with us, and we want to say a huge thank you.

Sally Arscott, CEO of Solent Mind, shared her personal thanks during Volunteers' Week:

"We are hugely grateful for your efforts, kindness and commitment to Solent Mind. Your generosity makes a real impact, changing lives, providing hope, comfort, and understanding when it’s needed most. A personal thank you for being at the heart of our purpose - we couldn’t do it without you!”

Supporting military families

Our Anchoring Minds service provides support for Royal Navy and Royal Marines serving personnel and their families.

Working closely with these communities, our Mental Health Navigators have lived experience of military life so they understand the unique challenges these families face. They can offer a friendly chat or, depending on where you live, they'll be able to signpost you to local courses, groups or services.

Call Anchoring Minds on 0300 303 1725 or visit our webpage to access online resources aimed at supporting your mental health and wellbeing.

Supporting employees and employers

Our Workplace Wellbeing Training team deliver mental health and wellbeing training across Hampshire, helping normalise conversations about mental health in the workplace.

Our expert trainers with lived and learnt experience of mental health share tools and techniques like Wellness Action Plans, helping build confidence and resilience so everyone can thrive at work.

We work with organisations like Southampton University, MOSL and the NHS, helping employees to maintain their wellbeing and working with managers to better support their teams. From 2023 to 2024, we delivered training to 3,162 employees across Hampshire.

We've also put together Little Lifts - free online videos to help you boost your mood anytime, anywhere.

Supporting young people

All Solent Mind services are available to anyone in Hampshire over the age of 18.

We also work with partner organisations to offer our 16 - 25 Mental Health Collective and our Heads Up project visits local schools and colleges, working with children and young people to help teach them about the importance of positive mental wellbeing.

Support from partners, volunteers and fundraisers

We're thrilled to have support from so many businesses, volunteers and amazing individuals.

Whether it's donating funds, raising money by taking on a challenge, or working in collaboration on something with us, our supporters are an important part of our Solent Mind communities, helping our services to thrive!

One example of this in action is our partnership with Zoielogic Dance Theatre, supporting men in Southampton to improve their mental health and wellbeing through movement and dance workshops.
