Thrive!

Supporting our communities to live well and thrive for Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 and beyond

Take action for your mental health

For Mental Health Awareness Week 2026, Solent Mind is supporting you to take action for your mental health - so you can live well, and thrive!

Taking action can look different for everyone, for some it's a conversation with a loved one or reaching out for support, for others it's nourishing your social life or embedding movement into your daily routine. Whatever taking action looks like to you, we're here to help you with practical tools and support, that you can use now and in the future. Browse our support resources below to get started.

We have been collaborating with second year BA (Hons) Television Production students from Southampton Solent University to create some short videos discussing young people’s mental health and wellbeing, which we will be sharing during Mental Health Awareness Week. Check back here on Monday 11 May 2026 to watch them for the first time!

Find the right support for you

We’re all unique and our lives are too, but mental health is a fundamental part of all of us and practising self-care can prevent problems from developing, and help us thrive.

We're your local Mind mental health charity and we offer mental health and wellbeing support services across Hampshire.

Through toolkits and resources, peer support, groups and courses at our wellbeing centres, and partnerships with community projects and initiatives, we're giving people in our Hampshire communities the tools, tips and support they need to thrive in 2026 and beyond.

We're here to support you

We all experience mental health differently, but none of us has to face it alone.

Across Hampshire, we support people to take action for their mental health through peer support, groups and courses at our wellbeing centres, workplace training, and community projects. Everything we do is designed to help people build confidence, skills and resilience – now and for the future.

Find a Solent Mind service near you, or discover some of the ways we’re supporting people to take action below.

Mental health support for military families

If you’re part of the armed forces community, taking action for your mental health can make a real difference.

We offer dedicated support through Anchoring Minds and Military Minds.

Anchoring Minds supports Royal Navy and Royal Marines serving personnel and their families, while Military Minds supports serving British Army and Royal Air Force families.

Both services offer friendly, understanding support from people who understand military life, helping you explore next steps and access local mental health and wellbeing support.

Wellbeing support for employees and employers

Work plays a big part in our lives, which means it can play a big part in our mental health too.

Our Workplace Wellbeing Training team help employees and employers across Hampshire take action to support mental health at work. Through practical training and open conversations, we help normalise mental health and give people tools they can use straight away.

Our trainers bring lived experience, and share techniques, such as Wellness Action Plans, to build confidence, resilience and understanding.

Looking for something you can try right now? Join us for a free 30-minute taster session to learn tips and techniques to look after wellbeing in the workplace, and find out more about how we can support your team.

Mental support for young people

All Solent Mind services are available to anyone in Hampshire over the age of 18.

We also work with partner organisations to offer our 16 - 25 Mental Health Collective, and our Heads Up project visits local schools and colleges, working with children and young people to help teach them about the importance of positive mental wellbeing.

Taking action together: partners, volunteers and fundraisers

Taking action isn’t just about individuals – it’s something we do together.

We’re incredibly grateful to the businesses, volunteers and fundraisers who support Solent Mind. Whether through donations, fundraising challenges or creative partnerships, your actions help our services reach more people across Hampshire.

One example of taking action together is how community members, businesses and supporters, all united for the Great South Run, raising an incredible £16,000 for Solent Mind in 2025. Corporate teams, individuals and Solent Mind trustees all took part, showing how collective action can make a real difference to local mental health support.

With charity places available for a range of challenges in 2026, there are lots of opportunities to take action for your own wellbeing while helping others to access the support they need.
