Youth Affinity

Working with young people to ensure a mental health issue doesn't hold them back.

Working in partnership with The Prince’s Trust and No Limits, we can support 16-25 year olds to access the Prince’s Trust Explore programme. The programme, which kicks off with an outdoor adventure and residential trip, can help you build your self-confidence through activities, training and qualifications in sports, drama, photography or cooking.

Our team can give you the support you need to sign up and get the very best out of the programme through:

  • wellbeing workshops where you can connect with others and swap ideas for better mental health
  • support to realise your personal goals and ambitions
  • help to re-enter education, seek employment or discover apprenticeship opportunities
  • 1:1 peer mentorship for those in need of personal mental health support

Although much of our face-to-face support is based in Southampton, we can support young people across Hampshire digitally. We can also support parents or guardians to focus on their own wellbeing through services like Community Navigation.

Who is it for?

Our workshops are delivered to all young people in Hampshire aged 16-25 who are engaging with the Explore Programme.

If you feel that your mental health is holding you back, you can use our referral form to request 1:1 mentorship support. You do not need to have a formal diagnosis or access other kinds of support in order to work with us.

Parents or guardians can also use the same form to access Solent Mind's adult services.

Information for Professionals

We accept referrals from services and organisations like the The Princes Trust and No Limits, where the potential service user has given consent. Please fill out and return our referral form with a full risk assessment.
