Talking therapies and practical wellbeing support over the phone, online or in groups.

italk service logo

italk provides free, tailored treatments for people with mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing difficulties, using evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

CBT empowers people to identify thoughts and behaviours that keep them from feeling better. We'll teach you practical skills to break free of these cycles to reduce symptoms of depression or anxiety.

You can access italk via self-referral or through your GP. After assessing your needs, the team will guide you to a range of flexible support, such as:

  • 1:1 treatments over the phone or online
  • Face to face and online groups and workshops
  • Our online self-help course, SilverCloud
  • Specialised support for those experiencing employment issues, new parents or long term health issues such as Diabetes, COPD or Fibromyalgia

italk is an Improved Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service commissioned and delivered in partnership with Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Who is it for?

italk can be accessed by anyone aged 16 or over who is experiencing depression, anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and is registered with a GP in the following areas:

New Forest
Test Valley
Basingstoke & Deane

If you are aged 15 or under or experience addiction issues or have been diagnosed with mental health conditions such as Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, a personality or eating disorder, speak to your GP about your support options.
