World Mental Health Day 10th Oct
Hope you can join us at the many activities we will be holding on World Mental Health Day and throughout the week:
Monday 10th Oct
We are very excited to be opening our newest Wellbeing Centre in Southsea. Why not try our workshop taster sessions from 10am onwards, or join us for the ribbon cutting ceremony at 12noon?
Also on the 10th, staff from our Fareham Wellbeing Centre will be in the Podium in central Fareham promoting World Mental Health Day. We are looking forward to chatting to people and give advice on mental wellbeing and young people’s services in the local area.
Wednesday 12th Oct
Our Eastleigh and Winchester Wellbeing Centres are holding open days with displays, refreshments and staff and volunteers on hand to chat to about the services on offer. Winchester Wellbeing Centre (1 Priory Gardens, Parchment Street) will be opening its doors from 10:30am to 12:30pm, while Eastleigh (111 Leigh Road) will be open from 12 noon to 2pm.
Thursday 13th Oct
We will be holding our Peer Support Hub event, ‘Improving Mental Health Through Peer Support,’ in Southampton for community groups to learn more about how peer support can improve people’s wellbeing.
Friday 14th Oct
Our art exhibition at the Soul Café in Dibden Purlieu by people with mental health issues has its open evening 14th Oct, 7pm to 9pm. The exhibition open to the public every Saturday 10am to 1pm for four weeks.
We will also be holding wellbeing events for school and college students in the New Forest as part of our Heads Up service all week.
And we’re really pleased that our corporate supporters Ordnance Survey and Old Mutual will be holding various fundraising and awareness raising activities throughout the week.
… If you see us out and about next week, why not tweet us a selfie @SolentMind?
