Well done Great South Run team raising over £2,000 for our mental health Hardship Fund!
Amy: “It was an amazing and emotional afternoon. It’s the biggest race event I’ve done and it felt so different: a new experience running for a charity. I was running in memory of my brother and hoped he’d have been proud of me. I also thought about the potential clients the money raised would support. It is a moment I will always cherish.”
Colin: “I feel very satisfied and ecstatic that the whole team completed the course and that we have raised money for the Hardship Fund so that our clients who have mental distress can have their Hardship eased by the funds. It was also warming to run for Solent Mind.”
Pete: “Thinking about the money raised made completing the run doubly satisfying.”
Debby: “We had good support from the spectators and glad to get round the course. Our clients experience major hardship on a daily basis, the money raised will go towards helping them to improve their lives. I would definitely consider doing the run next year.”
Deborah Frow: “I have always enjoyed running and this is the first time I have taken part in a run for charity. I am amazed at the generous donations we have received and the support and encouragement both before and after the race. I was very proud to run for Solent Mind and with such a great team.”
Thank you to everyone who supported the team!
