A huge thank you to the toob employees who braved Solent waters to raise money for our charity.

Taylor Ward and Lorenzo Chicca, from the local full-fibre broadband provider, took the plunge as part of The Rose Road Association’s charity swim on Saturday 21 September. Facing the 16.8-degree waters, the duo completed the 1-kilometre course in an impressive 20 minutes.

The swim takes place as a part of the internationally renowned Southampton Boat Show. The annual event raises money for The Rose Road Association, an important local charity, based in Southampton, providing support to young people with disabilities and their families. And toob's participants also chose to raise money for Solent Mind.

Swimmer Taylor Ward said: “I’m so proud of our achievement today, it’s amazing to be able to raise money for such fantastic local charities like Solent Mind and The Rose Road Association.’

Nick Parbutt, toob CEO, who has also braved a 100m abseil down Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower to encourage people to donate to Solent Mind, said: “Congratulations to Taylor and Lorenzo on their superb achievement. toob has supported Solent Mind over the last few years and it is great that Taylor and Lorenzo have raised more funds for such an important cause.”
