We are pleased to share that 3 local businesses have selected Solent Mind as their official Charity of the Year in 2026.
Southampton Science Park, Paris Smith Southampton, and Westquay will all be supporting our charity’s work throughout the year. Employees across all 3 organisations will be taking part in fundraising challenges, awareness events, and volunteering opportunities on behalf of Solent Mind. And any income generated will go towards supporting mental health in the region.
Lucinda Lamont, Business Development Director at Southampton Science Park, said: “We are delighted to be dedicating our fundraising towards Solent Mind this year. The Science Park team’s efforts will, I know, be generously amplified by the enthusiastic participation of our resident community through events such as our summer BBQ and sports day.”
Huw Miles, Managing Partner of Paris Smith LLP, added: "We are incredibly proud to be supporting Solent Mind this year, and we’re looking forward to helping raise awareness and funds for its crucial work. Together, we aim to make a meaningful impact for those who need it most."
Michael Nicholson, Westquay Destination Director, said: “We have seen first-hand the care and commitment Solent Mind brings to supporting our community, and its focus on wellbeing closely aligns with our ambition to create a place where individuals feel supported and able to thrive.
“This partnership continues to reflect our shared belief of supporting positive wellbeing and lasting change. We’re excited to continue working together and look forward to the difference we can make across our community in the months ahead.”
Solent Mind CEO, Sally Arscott, added: “Being chosen as Charity of the Year by 3 companies this year is just incredible, and highlights the growing importance of accessible mental health support in our communities.
“With employees from Southampton Science Park, Paris Smith Southampton, and Westquay, all committed to raising vital funds for our charity, we will be able to reach more people who are struggling and ensure they receive the help they need, when they need it.”
