A big thank you to Resapol, which has donated £1,000 to Solent Mind through the Resapol Foundation.
A big thank you to Resapol for donating £1,000 to Solent Mind through the Resapol Foundation.
The company, which has a depot in Southampton, provides construction chemicals and building supplies across the UK. We were chosen to be this year’s recipient of a financial boost via the organisation’s charity giving foundation.
Visiting our fabulous Mayfield Garden Centre to present a cheque, Sean Ofsarnie, Resapol Director and Foundation Co-Founder, and Barney Wotman, the Foundation’s Southampton ambassador, had the chance to see one of our many services in action.
Barney, Resapol Technical Sales Representative, explained why the company chose to nominate Solent Mind.
He said: “Many of us have experienced battles with mental health, or know someone who has, and what Solent Mind is doing for people in the local area is extraordinary. When it came to choosing a charity to support this year, it was an easy decision for us. It’s been a pleasure to visit Mayfield Garden Centre and to hand over this cheque today.”
Any unrestricted funds received through donations such as this go towards supporting Solent Mind's mental health projects across the region.
Jo Silsbury, Lead Corporate Fundraiser at Solent Mind, said: “We are always grateful for donations and would like to thank Barney for nominating us to be the recipient of this incredible £1,000 contribution. These donations help to fill funding gaps in our services and provide additional support and mental health services to our community. This has recently included our digital skills and EDI projects.”
