Mental Health Awareness Week: highlighting how to thrive in 2026

In Mental Health Awareness Week (11-17 May), we are launching our 2026 ‘Thrive’ campaign, which is highlighting the healthy habits and support services that can help people across the region maintain positive wellbeing.

In Mental Health Awareness Week (11-17 May), we are launching our 2026 ‘Thrive’ campaign, which is highlighting the healthy habits and support services that can help people across the region maintain positive wellbeing.

As part of the campaign, we are encouraging people to ‘pick up the phone’ and reach out if they need support. That could be speaking to someone in one of Solent Mind’s mental health services or simply talking to a friend or loved one.

Centred around Mental Health Awareness Week’s ‘Take action’ theme, ‘Thrive’ will also emphasise the importance of self-care and connection in supporting good mental health.

A #Thrive social media takeover will reach out to people who may be struggling, sharing signposts to Solent Mind’s relevant services alongside tips and advice to show how people experiencing a mental health issue can thrive.

Following a collaboration with second year BA (Hons) Television Production students from Southampton Solent University, we will also be sharing the first series of short videos on our website, exploring young people’s experiences of mental health and wellbeing.

In addition, we will be opening our doors to members of the public who want to find out more about our services. Open events will be happening at our wellbeing centres across Hampshire, as below.

Sally Arscott, Solent Mind CEO, said: “We want to ensure that everyone in our community knows how to look after their mental health, and that Solent Mind is here for them whenever they need support.

“Solent Mind’s purpose is to support everyone to develop positive mental wellbeing, live well and thrive, and by launching our Thrive campaign and opening our doors during Mental Health Awareness Week, we aim to spread that message as widely as possible.”
