Mental Health Awareness Week: highlighting how to thrive in 2025

In Mental Health Awareness Week (12-18 May), we are launching a new ‘Thrive 25’ campaign, which aims to showcase how people in the region can maintain good mental health, recognise if it’s declining, and know where to go to access support if needed.

In Mental Health Awareness Week (12-18 May), we are launching a new ‘Thrive 25’ campaign, which aims to showcase how people in the region can maintain good mental health, recognise if it’s declining, and know where to go to access support if needed.

Our Thrive 25 message will be showcased on digital displays across Southampton city centre and a #Thrive25 social media takeover will reach out to people in the community who may be struggling with their mental health. Signposts to Solent Mind’s relevant services and support will be shared, along with tips and advice to show how people experiencing a mental health issue can thrive.

We will also be opening our doors to members of the public who want to find out more about Solent Mind’s services. Open events will be happening at our wellbeing centres in the New Forest, Gosport, and Eastleigh, as below.

The charity’s Eastleigh wellbeing centre, which offers wellbeing support through courses, workshops, and other activities, is also home to Solent Mind’s South West Hampshire Safe Haven crisis centre. The service is also marking having made 1,000 crisis interventions since its launch in July 2023.

Sally Arscott, Solent Mind CEO, said: “We want to ensure that everyone in our community knows we are here to support them if they need it.

“Solent Mind’s purpose is to support everyone to develop positive mental wellbeing, live well and thrive, and by launching our Thrive 25 campaign and opening our doors during Mental Health Awareness Week, we hope to spread that message far and wide.”
