        Prize

        1. The prize is a 4‑night stay for up to four people in a 2‑bedroom penthouse self-catered apartment in Marbella, Spain plus flights and transfers (up to the total value of £800). Travel dates subject to availability and excluding July/August. To be redeemed in 12 months following the draw.
        2. The prize does NOT include Travel insurance, food, local taxes/fees, security deposits, or spending money
        1. If a prize becomes unavailable, the promoter may substitute a prize of equal or higher value.
        2. If fewer than 500 tickets are sold, the advertised prize will be withdrawn to ensure compliance with lottery rules on proceeds allocation. In that circumstance, the promoter will award a cash prize equal to 50% of gross ticket sales. This substitution ensures that the combined value of prizes and expenses does not exceed 80% of proceeds and that at least 20% is applied to the charitable purpose.
        3. No resale: Prizes must not be sold or transferred except with the promoter’s written consent.

        Claiming and Unclaimed Prizes

        1. Winners must claim within 30 days of notification and may be required to provide ID and any reasonable information for prize fulfilment.
        2. Unclaimed prizes: If not claimed within the claim period, the promoter will re‑draw or apply the prize value to the charitable purpose, as permitted by law and stated in our draw record.

        Refunds and Cancellations

        1. All Raffle ticket sales are final and no refunds shall be made at any time. All entrants acknowledge that their payment of £5 per ticket to enter the Raffle does not guarantee that they will win any prize.
        2. The promoter may cancel or postpone the raffle for reasons beyond its control (e.g., platform failure, fraud, regulatory requirement) and will notify entrants.

        Fairness, Safer Play and Advertising

        1. The raffle will be conducted in a fair and open way and marketed responsibly, in line with the Gambling Commission and Advertising Standards Authority and Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) rules for lottery advertising, with particular regard to protecting children and vulnerable people.
        2. Our marketing will not suggest gambling solves financial problems, nor target under‑18s/under‑25s in a significant role, in accordance with CAP guidance.
        3. Self Exclusion: Should you feel that you have issues with gambling and wish to be self excluded from our Raffle please phone number/email and request a self exclusion form. There is a minimum period of 6 months self exclusion. We will not target you with any marketing material during the self exclusion period and will remove your name and details from any marketing databases used by ourselves.

        Data Protection and Privacy

        1. We process entrants’ personal data to administer the raffle (lawful basis: contract), meet legal obligations (lottery returns), and, where appropriate, for supporter relationship management/marketing under UK GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice. See Our Privacy Policies | Information on the way we use your data and communicate with you at Solent Mind
        2. Electronic marketing (email/SMS): We will only send you fundraising/marketing messages if you opt‑in or where lawful (e.g., legitimate interests, and any future charitable soft‑opt‑in introduced by law). You can opt‑out at any time.

        Publicity and Winners’ Names

        1. By entering, winners agree that Solent Mind may publish your first name, initial of surname and county and/or use photographs/videos for reasonable post‑event publicity, unless you request anonymity (we will honour lawful requests subject to regulatory record‑keeping).

        Liability

        1. In the event of an error, howsoever caused, and whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the competition in any way, The Promoter reserves the right to administer the raffle as though the error had not occurred. Where The Promoter deems it appropriate and/or feasible it will notify entrants of the error.
        2. The promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, delayed, misdirected, corrupted or incomplete entries (e.g., due to network, device, or platform issues).

        FAQs

Q: Why are you promoting gambling as a mental health charity?

We understand this concern and want to emphasise that Solent Mind does not promote gambling as a solution to financial or personal problems. Our Big Charity Raffle is a common regulated fundraising activity, designed to raise vital funds for mental health services in Hampshire in a way that is fair, transparent and socially responsible.

For us, this raffle is about giving supporters a fun, low‑cost way to help fund mental health services not encouraging harmful behaviour. We have limited ticket sales to maximum 10 tickets per person to prevent excessive play

We provide self‑exclusion options and signpost to GambleAware and the National Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133) for anyone concerned about gambling.

Q: How do I self exclude from this or future raffles?

If you’re worried about gambling, you can self‑exclude for at least 6 months.
Please email fundraising@solentmind.org.uk to request a self‑exclusion form.
We won’t send you raffle marketing during your exclusion and will remove you from our relevant databases.

For free, confidential help: National Gambling Helpline 0808 8020 133 or visit GambleAware.

Q: How much is a ticket and who can enter?

£5 per ticket. To encourage fairness and safer play, there’s a maximum of 10 tickets per person per draw.

Entries are open to UK residents aged 18+ living in Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales).

Sorry, entries from Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are not permitted.

Solent Mind employees and companies involved in running the raffle cannot enter.

Q: What’s included and when can I travel if I win?

        Included:

        • 4‑night stay in a 2‑bedroom, self‑catered penthouse apartment (up to 4 people)
        • Flights and transfers up to a combined total of £800

        Not included:

        • Travel costs beyond the £800 allowance
        • Travel insurance, food, local taxes/fees, security deposits, or spending money
        • Accessibility specifics, special requests, or upgrades

Travel is available April–June 2026 or September 2026–March 2027 (subject to availability and excluding July/August). The prize must be redeemed within 12 months following the draw.

Q: Can I remain anonymous if I win?

We may publish a winner’s first name, surname initial and county, and use reasonable post‑event photography unless you request anonymity (we’ll honour lawful requests, subject to regulatory record‑keeping).

Q: How will I know if I’ve won?

We’ll publish the winning ticket number on solentmind.org.uk and notify winners by email/SMS within 7 days of the draw.
Winners will have 30 days to claim their prize and may be asked to provide ID for verification.

Q: Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

Raffle ticket sales are final. Buying a ticket does not guarantee a prize.

Q: How is the draw conducted?

We use a randomised process that allocates prizes purely by chance.
Your odds depend on the number of tickets sold. If all 4,000 tickets are sold, a single ticket has a 1 in 4,000 chance of winning.

Q: Is there a cash prize alternative?

There is no cash alternative unless fewer than 500 tickets are sold.
If that happens, the advertised travel prize will be withdrawn and the promoter will award a cash prize equal to 50% of gross ticket sales, ensuring we comply with lottery rules (i.e., prizes and expenses will not exceed 80% of proceeds and at least 20% is applied to Solent Mind’s work).

Q: How many tickets are available?

Up to 4,000 tickets will be on sale between 2 February 2026 to 11:55pm on 16 March 2026, or until sold out.

Q: I have a question or complaint, who do I contact?

If you have read through the event FAQs and still have outstanding questions, please get in touch with Solent Mind’s fundraising team. Email us at fundraising@solentmind.org.uk.
