Abseil the Spinnaker Tower in September 2025 for Solent Mind!

Saturday 13 September 2025

Abseiling the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth

Take on the Spinnaker Tower abseil for Solent Mind!

We are looking for 25 adventurous fundraisers to join us in September, to take part in an epic abseil down the iconic Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.  Not only will you experience the thrill of a challenge that’s sure to test your nerve to the limits, but you will also help to raise vital funds to support mental health across Hampshire.

Steffan Jones, Operations Manager at Shaping Portsmouth, was one of last year’s adventurous fundraisers. Individually raising a fantastic £625 for Solent Mind, he said:

"Chances are you, or someone you know has or will suffer from mental health issues at some point in their life. I certainly have and I’ve seen other people suffer, losing people to suicide brought on by poor mental wellbeing.
“I wanted to dangle myself off the side of the Spinnaker Tower in support for our partner charity, Solent Mind, who are making sure that anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn to for advice and support.”
