Time to Change is a growing social movement working to change the way we all think and act about mental health problems. We’ve already reached millions of people and begun to improve attitudes and behaviour.
Our Time to Change Hub is a partnership between people with their own lived experience of mental health problems (Champions), Southampton & Portsmouth City Councils and Solent Mind. We’re part of a network of over 40 Hubs across England and together we’re working to tackle mental health stigma and discrimination.
You may have heard the sad news that the National Time to Change Campaign ends on the 31st of March 2021, our local hub closed at the end of March 2021, but our videos and blogs will still be here until 2022!
Between the 1st-7th March 2021 it was Eating Disorder Awareness Week and our local Champions busted some myths around eating disorders which is a often misunderstood mental health problem.
Check out the videos in the Champion Videos section here on our webpage or you can find them on our social media channels.

Champions are at the core of everything we do as a Hub, they use their own experiences of mental health problems to change how others think and act about mental health. Being a Champion is completely flexible and voluntary and there are many things you could do or get involved in as a Champion, if you would like to know more about what Champions do click here.
