Description of Service
A small but influential well established supported employment service for service users who want to explore returning to work, addressing barriers they may need help to face on the journey.
Working with a holistic approach we offer one to one support and advice to people regarding their career choices. We try and work at the individuals pace, offering encouragement to reach their goals in relation to training or employment.
We also offer support to try and retain your job. If you are having problems coping or feel you are being discriminated against we can help support and signpost you to the right help.
What we provide:
- Accompaniment to the jobcentre to meet with a disability employment advisor
- Help with application forms, CV's (Curriculum Vitae)
- Liaison with employers, existing or potential, if required and only if consented by the individual
- Talking to potential training providers/education
- Joint Assessment with your Care Co-ordinator
- Preparation for interviews
- Pathfinder and HE software
- Support and signposting to set up your own business
Operating Times
9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday
Eligibility
Aged 18-65 with a Care Co-ordinator in one of the following Community Mental Health Teams - Romsey, Eastleigh or Southern Parishes.
Not Actively misuing alcohol or street drugs
Referral Procedure
Via a person's Care Co-ordinator at one of the above stated Community Mental Health Teams - all of whom will have our referral forms.
Cost
No charge.

Additional Information
We also run an 8 week 'towards' employment course which we try to run 3 times a year; in a safe environment, in a small group. We cover disclosure of mental health issues, interviews, CV's and much more.
