Description of Service

A supported employment service which provides one-to-one support and advice to people over their vocational plans to encourage and support them into either paid work, voluntary jobs, training or education. The service, for people with a mental health care co-ordinator in the East Hampshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) area, provides support tailored to the individual. Employment 1st, which has a team of support workers, can also support people in employment at time of referral

What we can provide

  • Helping people gain welfare benefits advice
  • Supporting over CVs and application forms
  • Setting up work placements/job trials
  • Liaising with existing/potential employers
  • Talking to potential training providers/education establishments

Operating Times

9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday

The service can support outside these times, depending on clients’ needs.

Eligibility

Aged 18-65 and with a care co-ordinator in one of the four community mental health teams within the East Hampshire PCT area. The teams are: Havant, Hayling Island, Waterlooville and Petersfield.

Referral Procedure

All referrals must come through a care co-ordinator.
