Volunteer Appropriate Adult

The recruitment process is:
- Informal chat
- Submission of application form
- Interview
If accepted, training consists of; three days in a classroom setting, which includes a visit to a custody suite. This is followed by a period of shadowing – attending cases with an experienced AA.
All successful applicants are subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
