What is IMCA?
The Mental Capacity Act 2005 sets out that there is a statutory duty to assist vulnerable people who lack the capacity to make their own decisions about serious medical treatment and changes of accommodation. The service also includes adult protection cases and care reviews.
Where do you operate? We provide the IMCA service in Hampshire
Who can use the service? People who lack the capacity to make their own decisions as defined by the Act and have no family or friends to assist them.
When is the service available? IMCA is a flexible service, operating to meet the needs of the individual.
