Getting involved

Solent Mind needs YOU! Did you know that we would be unable to operate some of our services if it wasn’t for the generosity of our volunteers?  Our Appropriate Adults scheme, for example, is delivered in the main by volunteers and some of our Social Inclusion projects depend greatly of the time and effort given freely by volunteers.

Volunteering opportunities

Volunteering offers many benefits to the individuals volunteering, as well as to us as the organisation.  It offers the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and make a real difference in the local community.  Many of our volunteers are service users who have found the experience of volunteering hugely beneficial to their recovery, and some have gone on to paid employment with us, and other organisations.

We value our volunteers as a distinct part of our organisational make up, and ensure that we have robust policies and procedures in place to support, develop and enable our volunteers during their time with us.

If you are interested in finding out more, please contact either the service you would like to volunteer for directly in the 'What We Do’ section or call our HR Department on 023 8020 8944 or email yourviews@solentmind.org.uk

Our current volunteering opportunities:
