We are looking for highly motivated individuals with an understanding of mental health and employment to support Solent Mind’s Employment Team within Portsmouth Support and Recovery with a range of tasks.
You will have an understanding of both mental health and employment – specifically the challenges that can arise for those with mental health conditions who are either trying to retain or access employment
Based within St Mary’s Community Campus in Portsmouth, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including; feedback gathering, basic data and admin tasks, taking part in the running of employment focused group sessions and clinics as well as the opportunity to hold a small caseload of your own (depending on how much time you can commit). This will allow you to advise and assist people with a mild to severe mental health conditions to gain and retain ongoing paid employment with some flexibility around education, training and voluntary work.
Previous experience of working in an employment and/or mental health setting is desirable, together with an understanding of the employment needs of people with mental health conditions. Flexibility, problem solving skills and the ability to work independently are essential requirements for the role.
