Talking Therapies (italk)

Solent Mind works in partnership with Southern Health to provide italk – an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service.

italk provides talking therapies to those aged 16 and over who are registered with GPs in Basingstoke, Bordon, Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, New Forest, Petersfield, the Test Valley and Winchester.

The service works with people with mild to moderate mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety, which includes obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, panic attacks and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Treatments offered include:

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy
  • Guided self-help
  • Computerised CBT
  • Employment support
  • Group workshops
  • Lifestyle support
  • Medication advice
  • CBT-i for insomnia
  • Couples therapy for depression

How to access this service

italk accepts both self-referrals and GP referrals. Those aged 16 and over and registered with a GP in Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, New Forest, the Test Valley, Winchester, Basingstoke, Petersfield, Bordon and Altonare eligible to use this service.
