In partnership with Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust we deliver the italk service, which is one of the largest Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services in the country providing Step 2 and Step 3 therapies respectively across Hampshire.

Because of this partnership, and the size of the area we cover, there is always something exciting and new to be involved in. From joint working with Southern Health teams in the community, to amazing initiatives such as Solent Mind’s Mayfield Nurseries project.  We are always looking at new ways to reach people and provide the quality support they deserve.

italk is a free to access NHS commissioned service for people aged 16 and over with mild to moderate mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety, which includes obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, panic attacks and post-traumatic stress disorder.

We are looking for qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner(s) to join our busy service.

Applications from candidates who do not hold a Postgraduate or Degree Certificate in Psychological Therapies cannot be considered

This is an extremely demanding role delivering evidence based therapies over the telephone, online and to groups across Hampshire.

Initially, the role will be based at our Contact Centre in Eastleigh, with travel to specific venues for face to face or group work.  However, the service also operates out of four locality hubs which are situated in each of our Clinical Commissioning Groups areas (West Hants/North Hants/Fareham & Gosport/SE Hants) and one of these will eventually become your base.

You will need to be highly motivated and resilient to cope with the demands of working in this large, high volume service.  Successful candidates will also need strong communication skills, professional telephone manner and excellent IT and organisational skills.

In return we can offer a vibrant and friendly working environment with excellent benefits, including 25 days holidays which increases per completed year of service to 30 days (pro-rata for part-time staff), learning & development opportunities, plus a contributory pension scheme.

Our hard working and close-knit team is easy going, welcoming and fun with regular wellbeing groups and socialising.  If you are interested in being part of an open, forward thinking and high achieving service and believe that you have the relevant skills and experience then this could be the opportunity for you!
