Some of the benefits you can expect being a Solent Mind employee:

Holiday entitlement

25 days annual leave rising incrementally to 30 days per year for staff on permanent full time or part time contracts – pro-rata for part time

A generous pension plan

Subject to you making contributions at 2 per cent of salary, Solent Mind will make contributions at 3 per cent of salary.

Sick pay entitlement

For staff on a permanent contract after 3 months service you can receive 1 month full pay and 1 month half pay, increasing to 2 months full pay and 2 months half pay after 12 months continuous service, and then rising after 24 months continuous service to a maximum entitlement of 3 months full pay and 3 months half pay.

Employee Assistance Programme

All staff have access to an Employee Assistance Programme providing free access to counselling services.

Learning and Development

We have a learning and development budget set aside to cover training and development for staff which is a requirement for their job or has been identified during appraisal or supervision as a development related need.

Interest-free season ticket and cycle to work scheme

Solent Mind offers an interest-free season ticket loan for travel to work and access to a Cycle to Work Scheme to all members of staff once they have completed three months service.

Childcare vouchers

Our childcare voucher scheme is open to all members of staff on the successful completion of their probation period. This is a government approved scheme that allows employees to pay up to an agreed maximum limit per week from their gross pay for approved childcare costs before tax and NI is deducted.
