Events & social opportunities for anyone experiencing isolation or mental health issues in Southampton.

All groups and activities are run by and for people with experience of a mental health issue. Friends/Carers welcome.

We understand going along to a group or activity for the first time can be difficult - all of our sessions are friendly and informal. If you would like to talk to someone or meet up with one of our team just before a group or activity to come in with you please let us know and we will be happy to help. 

Monday 3rd July, 9.30am — Breakfast Group, Shirley
Start the week off on a positive and join us for breakfast, talk and support at Reflections Café in Shirley.
 
Wednesday 5th July, 1pm—Hand in Hand, Townhill Park
A friendly, informal peer support group, 1-2.30pm at Townhill Park Community Centre on Meggesson Avenue.
 
Thursday 6th July, 2-3.30pm Art in the Park 
Informal art/craft session—no experience necessary and all materials provided. Meet by the art gallery fountain. 
 
Monday 10th July, 9.30am — Breakfast Group, Portswood 
Start the week off on a positive and join us for breakfast, talk and support at Coffee #1 in Portswood.
 
Wednesday 12th July, 1pm—Hand in Hand, Harefield 
A friendly, informal peer support group, 1-2.30pm at Harefield Hub, Melchett Road (off of Beauworth Avenue.) 
 
Monday 17th July, 9.30am — Breakfast Group, Shirley 
Start the week off on a positive and join us for breakfast, talk and support at Reflections Café in Shirley.
 
Wednesday 19th July, 1pm—Hand in Hand, Townhill Park 
A friendly, informal peer support group, 1-2.30pm at Townhill Park Community.
 
Thursday 20th July, 12noon — Time for Tea, Portswood/Central 
Tea, cake and optional activities —come along and join us for an informal friendly group.
 
Friday 21st July, 10am — Weston Walk, Talk & Tea 
Join us for a gentle walk along Weston shore and a cuppa in the café. 
 
Monday 24th July, 9.30am — Breakfast Group, Woolston 
Start the week off on a positive and join us for breakfast, talk and support at The Woolston Café. 
 
Wednesday 26th July, 1pm—Hand in Hand, Harefield 
A friendly, informal peer support group, 1-2.30pm at Harefield Hub. 
 
Thursday 27th July, 10am — Riverside Park Walk, Talk & Tea 
Join us for a gentle walk around Riverside Park and a cuppa in the café. 
 
Tuesday 1st August, 7pm—First Supper Social, Sprinkles, City Centre 
Join us for an informal meet up and bite to eat at Sprinkles Above Bar. 
 

 Where do I go?
 

Breakfast Groups:

Shirley  - Reflections Café, Shirley High Street SO15 3NL. Next to Cash Convertors, on the opposite side of the road to the Police Station.

Portswood  -  Coffee #1, Portswood High Street SO17 2NF. Between the charity shop and KFC.

Woolston  -  The Woolston Café, Portsmouth Road, Woolston SO19 9AD. Just across the road from the bus stops by the Itchen Bridge, next to the mobility superstore.

 

Hand In Hand:

Townhill  -  Townhill Park Community Centre, Meggesson Avenue SO18 2FH. Next to Cutbush Children’s Centre, the group is in the upstairs room—please ring the doorbell on the main door.

Harefield  -  Harefield Hub, Melchet Road SO18 5GW. Situated in the small parade of shops off of Beauworth Avenue, next door to the Hairdressers.

 

Weston Walk, Talk & Tea:

Meet by Woolston Sailing Club. Gentle walk along level ground.

 

Riverside Park Walk, Talk & Tea:

Meet by the benches by river, next to the Cobden Bridge/Bitterne Triangle entrance to the park.

 

Time for Tea:

At the Unity 12 Centre (Spectrum CIC), 9-19 Rose Road, Off of Lodge Road, Southampton SO14 6TE

 

First Supper Social:

Sprinkles, City Centre: Sprinkles is situated by the cross roads on Above Bar Street, opposite KFC, a short walk from the Marlands.
