The Portsmouth Wellbeing Centre Football Group represented Solent Mind at the Victory Hants Inclusion Cup Competition this week. Andy Wood, Wellbeing Centre Manager, says, “This is a national competition based in Portsmouth which brings together football teams from various mental health, physical disability, learning difficulty organisations from around the country to compete for the cup. There were 16 teams in the competition and ‘Solent Mind FC’ got to the Quarter Final stage before being knocked out by, none other than, Kingston Mind!
“During the award presentation at the end of the competition, we were awarded with the Fair Play Award! We were very proud to receive this award and the players enjoyed the day immensely. We hope to enter the competition again next year and go even further!”
