It may have been wet, but that didn't dampen our spirits

Monday, 26 November 2012

The weather on Saturday couldn't have been much worse for an outdoor market even if it had tried. With the rain pouring and the wind gusting, there was little Christmas cheer until staff and volunteers donned their reindeer antlers and santa hats and started talking to passers by about the new Wellbeing Centre at Eastleigh. Mayfield Nurseries was also in attendance selling seasonal plants, shrubs and Christmas wreaths.

Solent Mind also ran a raffle on Saturday with all proceeds going to buying a new projector for the training room at Eastleigh Wellbeing Centre. Amongst the prizes was a Kindle and two Christmas food hampers kindly donated by IT Consultancy, Lawley & Lawley Ltd. Thank you also to Costa Eastleigh who donated a giftset and voucher to us to use as a prize.

Thank you to everyone who visited the stall, bought a raffle ticket, or chatted to one of us about the Wellbeing Centre.
