Good news for Hampshire Wellbeing services

Friday, 29 September 2017

We are so thrilled to have been awarded a new wellbeing contract by Hampshire County Council and local Clinical Commissioning Groups, to continue our wellbeing services in Hampshire. Beginning this September, the new three year contract is delivered with Andover Mind and Havant & East Hants Mind, providing wellbeing services to people across Hampshire.

Elizabeth White Ripley, Head of Wellbeing, says, “We are delighted that we have been awarded the contract to continue delivering Wellbeing services in Hampshire.  Over the last five years we have supported a wide range of people who have a mental health diagnosis or concerns about their mental health.  Through groups, workshops and training courses, people learn skills to improve their wellbeing and share experiences in a friendly and supportive environment. We are looking forward to the next three years and the opportunity to develop the service by working with more partner organisations and making a significant contribution to improving the mental health and wellbeing of our local community.“

If you’re living with a mental health problem, getting support with your wellbeing can help you cope with day-to-day life. Our friendly and welcoming Wellbeing Centres in Eastleigh, Fareham and Gosport, the New Forest, Portsmouth and Winchester offer a busy programme of groups and activities. We help people learn new skills, support each other and learn techniques to improve and maintain their wellbeing. From managing anxiety and building confidence, to mindfulness, yoga and relaxation techniques, we help people build on the five steps to wellbeing: Connect, Give, Notice, Be Active, Learn.
