Good luck to the Z1000M team!

On Saturday 8 September 2012, a team of 15 cyclists fromZurich Insurance will get on their bikes to begin a 10 day marathon cycle rideacross Britain, from Land’s End to John o’Groats. The 'Z1000M’ team aim to raise £100,000 for 13 different charities by cycling 1,000 miles in 10 days, as well as through other fundraising activities. Mayfield Nurseries, a subsidiary company of Solent Mind, is one of ten regional charities that will benefit from the monies raised.

The Zurich riders will be joined on the ride by external insurance brokers Sutton Winson, software house Acturis and one of the beneficiary charities, Birmingham Settlement, while up to 19 additional cyclists from various insurance brokers will complete one of the separate 10 legs of the challenge along the way.

"Everyone at Mayfield Nurseries is rooting for the cyclists on the challenge. We know that every mile achieved will make apositive difference to our nursery and to the service we provide for peoplewith mental health issues. The money raised will be used for accredited training for our service users " Rachel Hampton, Manager, Mayfield Nurseries.
