Being discharged from mental health hospital care – share your experiences

Wednesday, 8 March 2017

We’re campaigning to make sure everyone leaving hospital after a mental health crisis gets the right follow-up care. In 2012 Mind polled people who had been treated for a mental health crisis to find out what support they received afterwards. Shockingly, a third said they got no follow-up care.

Mind wants to make sure the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines around discharge planning and follow-up are being implemented everywhere. To help them do this, we want to hear the experiences of anyone that’s received hospital care following a mental health crisis.

Please see Mind’s survey http://bit.ly/2n5AWbQ and help us campaign to make sure that everyone gets the right care and support even after they’ve left hospital.

If you have several experiences of being in hospital, please tell us aboutyour most recent experience. For this survey we’re focusing on inpatient stays, not treatment in A&E
